XXS in size – XXL in performance
Portable gas detectors for daily use must be small, light, and robust, yet deliver top-tier performance. Recognizing this, we set out to drastically reduce the size and weight of our sensors. The result is our miniaturized XXS DrägerSensor generation, engineered for high sensitivity, improved gas selectivity, outstanding long-term stability, and rapid response times. These advancements mean users are quickly and dependably alerted to dangerous gases, significantly boosting workplace safety.
Sensor diversity
Alongside the XXS sensors for H₂S, CO, and O₂, Dräger also offers options for detecting hydrides, amines, and organic vapors. The XXS OV sensors come preloaded with sensitivity data for over a dozen different gases, allowing users to monitor multiple hazards with just one sensor.

Internal development
We design and build our sensors in-house, using our own engineering expertise. This gives us full control over quality and ensures accurate readings. It also means the sensors work seamlessly with our complete range of Dräger gas detectors.
Low operating costs
Our sensors provide reliable readings and require calibration only rarely. Depending on the type, they can last up to five years.

Two in One
Note that some sensors that Draeger offers a ‘dual’ sensors bring together the capabilities of two sensors in one, allowing for simultaneous gas detection. They make it possible to measure both oxygen concentration (O₂ % by volume) and low-level gases like carbon monoxide (CO) or hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) in ppm—using just a single sensor. It’s a smarter, more efficient way to monitor multiple hazards at once.
