Qualitative Water Paper Test will detect the presence of water in any solvent from any surface. On contact with water the paper changes color from white to pink / lavender.

Water finding test paper also detects phase separation of ethanol and separation of water from ethanol based fuels. The test paper allows the quick and easy detection of water and water vapor similar to Watesmo paper.

If the paper remains unchanged after evaporation of the solvent, the solvent is anhydrous. The paper is moistened with anhydrous isopropanol to detect water vapor in any gas streams.
